The second level of our H.I.T. Educator Training System expands on everything from Level One. We take a deeper look at the tools and begin to systemize them to match each teacher’s existing competencies. We model a variety of effective teaching methods, break them into specific tactics and re-assemble them into custom packages based on teaching style and curriculum focus.
The EARN Model
The learning environment is multi-dimensional. Each dimension affects the other and our proprietary EARN Model helps educators to step back, see the big picture and specifically target challenges in the learning dynamics. We key in on the four domains of environment, atmosphere, resources and needs.
The Learning Styles Applied
We delve deeper into the learning styles tactics and practice design and delivery elements that make tremendous impact on student involvement. With a blend of both subtle and direct tools, educators can create an incredibly immersive learning experience.
Research has indicated that tactile activities aid in the healthy development of the brain’s architecture. We will model creative and purposeful uses of tactile activities in the classroom.
Experiential training has been an effective method in corporate education for many years. It is just beginning to make a dent in traditional education with advancements in project based learning. This training will model the effective delivery of powerful experiential games, simulations, role plays and projects. We will dissect the strengths in the design and educators will even create activity kits for their classrooms.
Small group dynamics
This element enhances the Content and Challenge Model from Level One. Understanding how to facilitate small group dynamics allows the educator to drive peer-to-peer learning. This leverages the students’ collective capabilities and enables them to teach each other, personalizing the content as they go.
Reviewing content is an art based in the science of the brain. Memory is no longer a mystery. There is a brain-based formula for moving information from the short to long-term memory. We will illuminate that process.
NLP for the Classroom
The field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming looks at the connection between language, physiology and understanding. There are several frames and tools that educators can use to be more effective communicators. We will practice several new methods for economy of language, clarity and congruent messaging. Each of these enables an educator to create better understanding for their students.
