8 Learning Themes
The Star Series is about learning, having fun and developing good habits at an early age. It's that simple. Research shows that between the ages of 9-12 is the time frame in which most students start to lose their passion for learning. This is the time where learning is no longer enjoyable, it's pressure-packed with tests and expectations on student performance are rising steeply.
Our response was to create a series of training programs to help young people face the new pressures of school with a new skill set. The Star Series mixes learning to learn skills, life skills and leadership skills to give students an advantage both in and out of the classroom. Each 2 day event covers two learning themes and each theme is tackled with a variety of methods. Everything is fully interactive, useful and fun. The students learn new habits quickly and go back to home and school with renewed confidence and a proactive mindset.
Ages 13-18
3-5 Days, Level 1
Theme: MINDSET
The apX Program is the first level of our teen training series. This program is a game-changer. It is engineered by brain-based experts to get dramatic results, fast. The curriculum targets the mindsets of high-achievers and breaks their success down into simple methods and potent habits. Simulations, dialogues and experiential games are used to help students practice new skills in a safe environment, with both peer and professional support.
Students leave this program with:

Ages 13-18
3-5 Days, Level 2
Theme: SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Leader Launch is level two of our teen training series. This program moves students from awareness to action.
What sets some people apart from the rest?
The answer is leadership skills. Leadership can be learned and we have a simple system for tapping into human potential. Leader Launch is three to five full days of foundation building, behavior changing and confidence escalating training. This is the launch pad for young leaders.

improved public speaking

Ages 13-18
3-5 Days, Level 3
Theme: DIRECTION
The Compass is our level three training program for teens.
Great leaders have clearly defined goals and a strong sense of purpose. This program is designed to help teens to find their passion, direct their energy towards something purposeful and to map out long-term goals.
The focus areas are:
identifying purposeful objectives
maintaining energy
advanced goal planning
personal coaching tools
authenticity
contribution and giving back
strategic thinking skills
Ages 13-18
3-5 Days, Level 4
Theme: RESULTS
The Pinnacle is level four of our teen training programs.
The students that progress to this level of training have already demonstrated the ability to lead and to learn. This program is designed to fine tune their habits so that they can magnify their results.
Pinnacle graduates leave with:

Ages 13-18
1 Day
Theme: POSITIVE SCHOOL CULTURE
Common Ground Now is a dynamic, experiential program that shifts school culture and builds safer, more inclusive campus communities.
Schools are increasingly being forced to deal with bullying, harassment, absenteeism, and other consequences of the unprecedented social pressures and emotional stress facing students.
In order to create a unified and positive climate and culture, schools have to break through the anger, fear, and resentment that divides students. Common Ground Now is designed specifically to develop self-awareness and empathy in participants so they can create meaningful connections across peer groups, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs.
The Youth Leadership Summit is conducted in partnership with the National Council for Community and Educational Partnerships (NCCEP). This program serves students of the nationwide GEAR UP initiative and is designed to support the development of a college-going culture in the GEAR UP communities.
YLS students will:
Participate in dynamic training modules that are engaging and purposeful.
Learn leadership, life and learning skills that prepare them for success.
Create valuable connections with peers and professionals.
Enhance their ability to speak confidently.
develop the capacity to work effectively in teams.
Set challenging goals that drive higher levels of motivation.
The NatureWorks Program offers students the opportunity to build leadership and entrepreneurship skills by creating real-world environmental conservation initiatives that bring measurable impact in their schools. The program aims to build pathways to further study and careers in the field, equipping participants with the demand by organizations working in conservation and adjacent industries.
